Detailed Itinerary
Day 1 Arrival in Chengdu
Arrive at Chengdu Tianfu International Airport (TFU). You will be greeted by your private driver and elite birding guide.
Day 2 Chengdu to Wolong National Nature Reserve
Morning departure to Wolong National Nature Reserve.
Day 3 Wolong & Balang Mountain
A full day dedicated to the rich broadleaf and coniferous forests.
Day 4 Balang Mountain (High Altitude)
Early morning ascent to the alpine passes of Balang Mountain.
Day 5 Balang Mountain to Ruoergai Grasslands
We transition from the rugged mountains to the vast Tibetan plateau.
Day 6 Ruoergai Full Day Birding
Exploring the wetlands and scrublands of the plateau.
Day 7 Ruoergai to Chengdu
We begin our journey back to Chengdu.
Day 8 Chengdu City Parks & Departure
A relaxed morning birding in one of Chengdu's excellent city parks.
